As aSenior Electronics ASIC Development Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge medical devices with a strong emphasis on advanced medical electronic systems. You will be leading the development of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system.
You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market making a tangible difference in peoples lives worldwide.
Your profile
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of application specificintegrated circuits (ASICs) that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system.
- Architect technicalconcepts and assess its technical feasibility
- Generate intellectual property.
- Translatesystem requirements intoASIC andinterfacerequirements.
- Manage external IC design houses in the outsourceddesign simulation manufacturingtestand validation ofthe ASICs.
- Support the integration and process development related to ASICintegration into the neurostimulation system.
- Apply risk management and perform design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) on designs.
- Initiate andlead designreviews and technical reviews.
- Define test strategies to verify the electronic systems againstthe product and manufacturing requirements.
- Apply DFR/DFM/DFT (Design for Reliability Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test) including modelling analysis and statistical analysis.
- Participate in system integration verification and validation.
Qualifications and Soft skills:
- BSc or MSc inIntegrated Circuit DesignElectronicsEngineering.
- At least 8 yearsof work experience in a relevant medical device development environment with experience executing a full development cycle.
- Experienced in analogor mixed signal ICdesignfor(implantable) medical devices.
- Experienced in the full development cycle of anASIC including design simulation manufacturing verification and validation.
- A system-thinking attitudeidentifyareas of potential improvement and develop plans to address these; Team oriented a sparring partner to colleagues in other disciplines.
- Solid understanding of(Medical)Risk Analysis and FMEA.
- Experienced in managingprojects outsourced toIC designsubcontractorsfor development manufacturing and integration of ASICs.
- Experienced in Verification test design and execution.
- Fluency in English(English is company language). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Determination to develop yourself and others.
- Be a team player.
- Communicate effectively.
- Think and act strategically.
- Fast learner self-motivated and pro-active individual able to work in the fast-moving environment of a dynamic start-up company.
- Experienced indigitalICdesign anddevelopment.
- Familiar with medical devicedevelopmentapplicable standards.
- Experiencein neuroscience.
