About the role
The Head of Aquatics and Leisure is responsible for leading the team to deliver well maintained facilities activities operational management and support services of Councils Aquatics and Leisure facilities within financial capacity and business objectives. This role will lead a diverse team across health wellbeing leisure fitness and recreation ensuring high quality customer service. A primary focus will be ensuring employees subcontractors and agents comply with legal requirements and industry standards applicable to the management operation and maintenance of the aquatic and fitness facilities.
This position is temporary up to August 2026.

Essential criteria
Salary:The salary for this position commences from$196312 per annum plus 12% Superannuationand will be negotiated commensurate with the skills qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
Access to a Leaseback Vehicle or Motor Vehicle Allowance is available with this position; however it is not a condition of employment.
This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
