This position will provide a positive and consistent patient experience for registration utilization review discharge planning and administrative support for the Psychiatric Hospital and Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent friendly and professional presence at the front desk.
- Assist all patients visitors and contractors to check-in and out of the building.
- Communicate with staff in all departments about arrival and departures of patients visitors and contractors
- Register check-in and schedule patients for services
- Gather required insurance identification legal documentation and consents for registration into programs
- Support patients with accessing healthcare coverage
- Assist with monitoring patient charts for complete and thorough documentation needed for the authorization and billing process
- Submit documentation to insurance providers for authorization of services.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of utilization review insurance navigation and authorization process
- Medical billing and Indiana Medicaid experience preferred

- Strong problem-solving skillsand organizational skills
- Proficient in use of computer and internet-based technologies including Microsoft Office products
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required. Associate or bachelors degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.
- Certificate or Professional License: None required. Certificate in Revenue Cycle or Utilization Management preferred. Navigator license preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years of office and financial experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license and active liability insurance.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
