Role Summary
The Talent Management & Development Specialist reports to the Director of Talent Development and Management and is responsible at the enterprise level for developing implementing and managing talent management programs such as performance management talent assessment and reviews succession planning employee engagement and listening strategies culture & belonging programs and initiatives early career high potential and executive development programs. Under the direction of the TM&D director this role will partner with HR business partners stakeholders in the business talent acquisition and talent development to develop and manage effective programs.
This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City office.

How You Will Make an Impact
Consults and partners with internal HR partners and business leaders to drive the enhancement and ongoing management of enterprise-wide talent and performance reviews and succession planning programs.
Consults and partners with Learning & Development Consultants to advise on recommended talent development strategies based on outcomes of enterprise talent planning and succession planning reviews
Partners with HRBPs to ensure actions are taken because of Talent Reviews with High Potentials and Successors
Assesses analytics to find opportunities in retention strategies talent gaps and succession
Drives corporate employee listening strategy including survey development vendor management integration tactics and analysis of results; works with TM&D Director and HRBPs regarding action plans and firm-level communication of findings
Serves as a thought partner to HRBPs and the Culture & Belonging team on Talent Management initiatives to build a more inclusive and robust internal talent pool to support the future growth of American Century Investments
Collaborates in the design development and implementation of leadership development programs for all levels of employees to support succession planning and leadership development needs globally.
What You Bring to the Team (Required)
4 years of proven experience Talent Management Learning and/or Human Resources experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent required
Proven interpersonal skills strong facilitation consulting communication and coaching
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with employees and senior leaders influencing across all organizational levels and geographies
Experience using people performance assessment tools (9 Box)
Strong project management skills including excellent multi-tasking organization time management and presentation skills
Strong Computer skills
Customer/client focused with the ability to work collaboratively with team members across functions and business groups
