Responsibilities
As a Sr. Material Handler you will play a crucial role in our transportation and shipping operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the receipt storage and distribution of materials in a strictly controlled environment
- Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Coordinating with various departments to determine material needs and successfully implement material transfer requests
- Maintaining a clean organized and safe work area to meet safety standards
- Preparing shipping documents and labels for shipments
- Conducting quality inspections of incoming and outgoing materials
- Troubleshooting and resolving material handling issues promptly and effectively
Requirements
To be considered for the Sr. Material Handler position you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional education or certification in logistics supply chain management or related field is a bonus
- Proven experience in a material handling or logistics role preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs frequently
