Responsibilities

As a Sr. Material Handler you will play a crucial role in our transportation and shipping operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the receipt storage and distribution of materials in a strictly controlled environment
  • Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Coordinating with various departments to determine material needs and successfully implement material transfer requests
  • Maintaining a clean organized and safe work area to meet safety standards
  • Preparing shipping documents and labels for shipments
  • Conducting quality inspections of incoming and outgoing materials
  • Troubleshooting and resolving material handling issues promptly and effectively

Requirements

To be considered for the Sr. Material Handler position you must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional education or certification in logistics supply chain management or related field is a bonus
  • Proven experience in a material handling or logistics role preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs frequently
