Job Description

Sunshine Montessori in Billerica MA is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher who is passionate andmotivated in providing quality education to children. The ideal candidate will have experienceworking with children in a Montessori Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for: Managing and overseeing the day-to-day classroom activities. Maintaining compliance of EEC policies and safety procedures. Developing and implementing educational programs and curriculum for children. Developing lesson plans and managing the learning experiences for students to ensure theneeds of the individual students and groups are met. Assisting and encouraging students toward self-directed learning and normalization. Maintaining a neat well-organized and attractive prepared environment consistent with theMontessori philosophy Conducting student assessments and record keeping. Providing leadership guidance and support to assistant and substitute teachers Receiving and welcoming students; greet parents/caregivers Consulting with other teachers for curriculum ideas sharing materials and schedulingcommon activities Collaborating with parents teachers and other stakeholders to ensure the success ofstudents Conducting assessments and evaluations of the program to identify areas of improvement Participating in required training and meetings. Planning and attending school events such as open houses admission events parentnights art exhibitions and other parent and child involvement activities. Effective oral and written communication Staying up-to-date with current trends and research in educationQualifications: A Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education Elementary Education ChildDevelopment or related field required. Montessori Certification EEC Lead Teacher Certified At least 1-2 years of Lead Teacher experience. First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to get within 6 months of employment)Please send resumes to
