Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes ducts and manifolds and also has complex machining fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes ducts and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHASs highest safety rating.We strive to keep a fun and enjoyable shop atmosphere while maintaining the highest level of quality work output. As the Casting Foundry Quality Leader you will manage the Plant Quality Team to lead improvement in key quality metrics and adherence to the Quality System.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ownership of reduction of Quality KPIs-- QEM MRB line items and Losses
- Ownership for improvement of FTY with collaboration from Engineering counterparts.
- Problem solving and use of statistical tools identifying actions for improvement. Monitor improvements through control phase.
- Ownership of improving site Quality System along with compliance to the quality system.
- Champions APQP (Advanced Planning Quality Process)
- Manages a team of quality engineers.
- Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational product management manufacturing technology or engineering.
- Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality)
- At least an additional 5 years of Manufacturing Quality experience
