Our client is leading a major transformation initiative involving the migration of enterprise data into SAP IS-U systems. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity accuracy and success of data migration activities across legacy and target platforms. The team values deep technical expertise structured delivery and a strong understanding of utility industry data.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Architect with deep expertise in SAP BODS and SAP IS-U. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of end-to-end data migration strategies ensuring data quality compliance and alignment with business processes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate across functional and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of SAP IS-U data migration strategies and plans.
- Architect and implement data migration solutions using SAP BODS and related tools.
- Define data mapping and transformation rules in collaboration with functional and technical teams.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through reconciliation and validation processes.
- Develop and maintain migration documentation including data models mapping specs and test plans.
- Manage data extraction cleansing transformation and loading across systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data migration teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
- Support cutover planning and execution for migration phases.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Required Experience:
- 15 years of experience in data architecture migration and management.
- Proven track record in at least 3 successful SAP IS-U data migration projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
- Deep understanding of SAP IS-U data structures and business processes.
- Proficiency in data mapping transformation logic and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with utilities industry data and regulatory requirements.
