Job Description

ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Administrator / Subject Matter Expert for a State client in Austin TX. The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise on PeopleSoft PUM upgrades and administration. This role involves supporting CAPPS Financials updates production support performance optimization and complex PeopleSoft development tasks in a Linux/RedHat and Oracle 19c environment.

Job Title:Senior PeopleSoft Administrator (PUM & Production Support)
Location: Austin TX (Hybrid - 90% remote & 10% onsite)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete installs of PeopleSoft 9.2x at all tiers using PUM and Change Assistant (CA) or DPK. Document high-level steps following Oracle-delivered procedures.
  • Upgrade PeopleSoft systems by conferring with users and services; developing testing evaluating and installing enhancements using PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager (PUM) or extracting necessary patch code fixes. Document high-level steps following Oracle-delivered procedures.
  • Run and analyze compare reports and apply retrofits.
  • Maintain PeopleSoft system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis performance tuning troubleshooting system hardware software networks operating systems and system management; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to users.
  • Provide troubleshooting and isolate technical problems in PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including Oracle database Tuxedo application servers on Unix process schedulers on both Unix and NT and WebLogic configuration.
  • Secure PeopleSoft systems by developing system access monitoring control and evaluation; monitoring and sending alerts appropriately for all servers and environments.
  • Resolve bugs from previous upgrades and implement newer functionality.
  • Resolve fluid approval workflow issues and configure new workflows for the travel/expense module.
  • Perform CPA Updates including analyzing compares for conflicts and reapplying customizations.
  • Spin up new PeopleSoft environments on demand download PUM images and stand up new release images.
  • Administer PeopleSoft servers apply patches and provide support with critical patches.
  • Support integration with TEAL eGrants and other systems such as Child Nutrition Program (CNP) Foundation School Program (FSP) and Consolidated Entitlement Management System (CEMS).
  • Drive process improvements such as automating recurring manual activities.
  • Automate PeopleSoft administrative tasks and train current resources on PeopleSoft administrative functions.
Required Skills & Experiences:
Minimum Requirements
  • 10 years of experience with Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) PeopleSoft Financial System.
  • 10 years of experience integrating PeopleSoft with third-party applications using Integration Broker and Web Services.
  • 10 years of experience in STAT PeopleSoft upgrades application tuning and deployment activities.
  • 10 years of experience developing PeopleSoft XML and BI Publisher reports.
  • 8 years of experience installing the latest PUM images using PeopleSoft Update Manager and Change Assistant.
  • 8 years of experience in PeopleSoft administration including configuring application servers web servers and process schedulers.
  • 8 years of experience troubleshooting and isolating technical problems related to application and web servers.
  • 8 years of experience working with PeopleSoft in a Linux/RedHat environment including Oracle 19c or higher databases.
  • 8 years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials Application release 9.2.
  • 8 years of experience using PeopleSoft development tools including PeopleTools 8.51x or higher.
Preferred Experience:
  • 5 years of experience with Quest STAT administration for PeopleSoft code deployments.
  • 5 years of experience with Education Materials Grants and Cash Receipts functionality.
