Moderna is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our Global Payroll function. This Warsaw-based role will support a wide variety of payroll operations with a strong emphasis on processing accuracy compliance and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for supporting full-cycle payroll processing for both our US and international employee populations spanning multiple states and legal entities. The successful candidate will bring experience with Workday and ADP SmartCompliance along with a passion for operational excellence and a commitment to confidentiality and data integrity. Heres What You Will Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Processing bi-weekly payrolls for the U.S. and Canada and supporting monthly international payroll cycles
Coordinating with external payroll processors and vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution
Managing ADP SmartCompliance platform for U.S. and Canada wage and tax compliance activities
Overseeing state agency correspondence and managing compliance with reporting and filing obligations
Responding to employee payroll-related inquiries and resolving timesheet issues promptly
Collaborating with the Global Compensation vendor on expatriate shadow payroll reporting
Partnering with the Global Mobility team on payroll-impacting employee events and transitions
Supporting Finance Tax and Legal stakeholders with documentation and reporting needs
Assisting with quarter-end and year-end close activities including tax documentation preparation
Participating in quarterly and annual audit processes
Your responsibilities will also include:
Supporting equity transaction processing on a daily basis
Contributing to continuous improvement projects across payroll and cross-functional teams
Performing ad-hoc tasks and evolving responsibilities aligned to organizational growth
Analyzing large payroll data sets using Microsoft Excel to ensure accuracy and compliance
Navigating compliance requirements in a publicly traded environment
Supporting payroll processing for multi-entity multi-state U.S. operations
Leveraging international payroll experience to enhance global delivery

Heres What You Will Need (Minimum Qualifications):
Candidates with an Accounting degree preferred.
At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience processing payroll in Workday.
Proficient in using ADP SmartCompliance to manage tax compliance for the U.S. and Canada.
Heres What You Will Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze and interpret large data sets.
Demonstrates strong communication and creative problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with compliance requirements in a publicly traded company.
Experience working within an outsourced payroll delivery model.
Background in multi-state and multi-entity payroll processing.
Experience with equity transactions preferred.
Knowledge of expatriate and permanent transfer payroll processing.
International payroll experience preferred.
