As a Business Account Manager (BAM) for Hills Pet Nutrition located in either Milwaukee WI Madison WI or Chicago IL you will assume headquarter customer management responsibilities for Key Farm & Ranch Customers. The primary responsibilities are to customize and implement Hills retail environment & brand strategies to grow market share of Hills Science Diet and brand recommendations within. The focus of this position is key omnichannel customers with strong sales strong marketplace influence and other customer complexities where strong leadership is needed to engage customers at the highest level with strategic plans.
What you will do:
Connect the dots - You have a pulse on the big picture to identify areas of opportunity for products and programs develop Customer specific 6P strategies that incorporate consumer insights and have an awareness of competitor activity to deliver against your business objectives
Develop and maintain processes and plans to analyze the customers business channels (). Evaluates business trends shopper insights and findings from post analysis of performed activities which uses customer consumption and other available data.
Develop and execute customer meetings to influence support of Hills Go-to-Market plans.
Develop and implement annual strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the commercial goals.
Engage customers on category growth expectations and opportunities. Developing category and brand solutions to drive the Hills business
Customize shopper programs with Hills shopper marketing using Hills brand strategies to drive incremental retail sales.
Establish partnerships with internal and external cross-functional teams. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against strategy and goals.
Build and maintain accurate volume promotion and spend forecasts to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans including managing customer payments
Use multiple data sources to create fact-based selling stories in order to influence key stakeholders and drive against both Hills and Customers joint business objectives.
Collaborate with Hills Business Development Manager & Retail Marketing team to execute the Hills retail environment and brand strategy within investment guidelines
Drive forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus plan-to-go with manager BDM & Finance
