Scope of Work
Under the general direction of the supervising physician the athletic trainer delivers athletic training services to encompass the prevention examination diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of emergent acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers (AT) are highly qualified multi-skilled health care professionals who develop implement and maintain comprehensive health care programs for athletes and other the direction of on the prescription of or in collaboration with a physician the practice of athletic training includes the treatment of an individual for risk management injury prevention clinical evaluation and assessment immediate care and treatment and rehabilitation and reconditioning of injury or illness or both.
Qualifications
Required Bachelors Degree Completion of a CAATE approved athletic training education program or educational equivalent.
Preferred Masters Degree Post-certification Masters degree in athletic training.
1 year of relevant experience At least one year of related and expansive work experience in all aspects of athletic training or a combination of education and experience. Preferred
CRT-Athletic Trainer Certified - BOC Board of Certification and Accreditation Upon Hire required
LIC-Athletic Trainer License - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support preferred
