Job Description
Director of Engineering Upscale Hotel Property Woodland Hills CA
Were working with an upscale hotel property in Woodland Hills to identify a skilled Director of Engineering to lead all aspects of maintenance facilities and engineering operations. This leader will manage capital projects ensure regulatory compliance and develop a high-performing maintenance team focused on safety and guest satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
-
5 years of engineering leadership experience in a hotel or resort environment

Deep technical knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and building systems
-
Experience overseeing capital improvements and large maintenance projects
-
Familiarity with Birchstreet procurement platform is a plus
-
Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
Core Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
-
Hire train and supervise maintenance staff; ensure proper shift coverage during peak periods
-
Conduct performance evaluations deliver coaching and resolve personnel issues
-
Lead safety training and uphold a culture of proactive maintenance and accountability
Facilities Management
-
Oversee all systems: chillers boilers compressors water and control systems HVAC refrigeration etc.

Manage preventive maintenance programs emergency repairs and vendor coordination
-
Ensure OSHA and ADA compliance across all engineering functions

Lead property inspections and address deficiencies promptly
Budget & Administrative Oversight

Manage departmental budgets payroll and supply costs

Source competitive bids and monitor vendor performance and pricing

Support other departments with cross-functional collaboration and excellent service
