Salary:$37440.00 - $47840.00 DOE
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Construction Material Handler to support shop and field operations at our Paso Robles facility. This position is responsible for the organization movement and tracking of tools parts and construction materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented physically capable and thrives in a fast-paced hands-on environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load unload and transport materials and equipment throughout the shop and yard.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Organize and store inventory and tools in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Pull and stage materials for field crews based on job-specific requirements.
- Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records report shortages damages or discrepancies.
- Assist with tool check-in/check-out procedures and maintain tracking logs.
- Perform general cleaning maintenance and organization of the shop yard and storage areas.
- Ensure a clean safe and compliant work environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers superintendents and drivers to meet scheduling and delivery needs.
Qualifications
- Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to stand bend and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in construction warehouse operations or material handling.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a shop and warehouse setting with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
- Regular exposure to noise dust and varying temperatures.
- Use of PPE including safety glasses gloves and steel toe boots is required in designated areas.
- Frequent lifting walking bending and operating machinery and material-handling equipment.
