We are looking for a Consultant Endocrinologist to support our Specialist Weight Management Service by providing expert clinical guidance to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) on complex cases as defined by the clinical leads of the service.
You will play a key role in guiding the MDT with clinical decision-making for patients with complex needs particularly those on GLP-1 RA medication. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive safe evidence-based and effective care.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative specialist weight management service alongside an existing NHS or private sector role.
This is a Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Service. The MDT includes dietitians psychologists doctors nurses and independent prescribers working together to provide holistic evidence-based care. The majority of patients will engage with digital interventions with approximately 80% expected to be prescribed GLP-1 RA medication.
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative consultant endocrinologist who is confident in coordinating a remote MDT. You will be someone who:
Has strong clinical judgement able to assess complex cases and provide clear guidance to the MDT.
Communicates effectively explaining clinical reasoning concisely and clearly.
Is proactive and engaged offering advice both in MDT meetings and asynchronously when required.
Thrives in a multidisciplinary setting comfortable collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Is passionate about obesity care committed to evidence-based treatment and improving patient outcomes.
