Job Description

Job Summary
The Department of Music in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Orchestral Conducting Non-Tenure-Track position. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of accordance with USCIS regulations successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in conducting chamber music conduct the UT Arlington Symphony Orchestra and related areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels Contribute to the growth and development of the Department of Music the College of Liberal Arts the University and the profession through participation in committees departmental activities and other service Other duties may be assigned based on the candidates qualifications and the needs of the department

Required Qualifications
Required qualifications Doctor of Musical Arts ( DMA ) or equivalent in Conducting Orchestral Conducting or a related field by time of appointment Demonstrated record of excellence or evidence for potential excellence in teaching conducting at the graduate and undergraduate levels
