Job Description

Job Summary
The Director of Admissions will provide leadership oversight and strategy for the recruitment and admissions efforts of the entire seminary based on market trends and enrollment data.
Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment process and team including:
  • Implementing the overall strategy of recruitment across marketing trips events and processes
  • Planning and supervising admissions recruiters for trips to colleges fairs conferences churches and ministry organizations
  • Supervising recruitment staff to implement on-campus preview events and virtual events
  • Working with the marketing department on advertisements materials and overall messaging
  • Guiding admissions recruiters in their communication (phone calls emails SMS text messages virtual visits and in-person campus visits and tours) across the prospective student journey and
  • Meeting enrollment goals for all regional locations formal language programs and online studies
Implement the admissions process by
  • Following the admissions criteria set by the faculty
  • Evaluating and making final decisions on applications for admission
  • Communicating final decisions to applicants
  • Chairing the admissions faculty committee and suggesting policy changes
  • Hiring and training new officers
  • Coordinating with regional locations doctoral departments and language programs to ensure a consistent process and
  • Guiding the application processing team and CRM system administrator to maximize efficiency in processes and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in Graduate Admissions
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills for a large team
  • Detail and process oriented to ensure efficiency in recruitment and applications
  • Experience in ministry and higher education
  • Pastoral heart to guide team and prospects
  • Excellent personal relationship and communication/public speaking skills
  • Possess a high caliber of discernment
  • Strong character discretion and the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Awareness of DTSs distinct theological tradition
  • Able to manage a team in a high-performance environment
