Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for all day-to-day school operations including supervision of all staff students visitors agency staff etc within the assigned school.
- Effectively evaluate certified personnel using the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Evaluation Model.
- Effectively evaluate non-certified staff.
- Recommend personnel appointments and assignments to the Superintendent of Schools.
- Establish and maintain a positive school climate.
- Supervise instruction and assessments aligned to state and national standards.
- Lead the revision of curricula as necessary.
- Monitor student progress by frequently analyzing assessment data.
- Implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to provide targeted interventions based on individual student needs.
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with federal disability laws (IDEA and Section 504) while creating and maintaining an inclusive educational environment where all students with disabilities receive appropriate services and support.
- Facilitate school improvement planning.
- Comply with all state and federal program regulations.
- Plan and coordinate professional development opportunities for all staff as necessary.
- Attend professional development opportunities and keep abreast of current instruction and assessment practices.
- Implement a school-wide positive behavior program.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents providing regular communication and support.
- Foster partnerships and communicate effectively with community organizations agencies and stakeholders to enhance program resources and services.
- Responsible for counseling and disciplining students as necessary.
- Collaborate with families to provide comprehensive support across educational behavioral and social emotional domains.
- Attend and supervise students at school and community functions.
- Attend required administrative meetings during and after standard working hours.
- Coordinate and supervise safety procedures and practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations for administration school committee and stakeholders as required.
- Assume other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools Assistant Superintendent and/or their designees.

The position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours direct responsibility for the safety well-being and work output of other people and to meet multiple demands with time constraints.
