Job Description

Job Description Summary

As a Biomedical Engineering Trainee at GE HealthCare youll be assigned to a regional Service Area in the UK and begin a structured 2-year development programme aimed at transitioning into a permanent Field Service this hands-on role youll support the maintenance and repair of GE HealthCares medical equipment at customer sites working closely with experienced engineers and receiving mentorship throughout your journey. Your training will combine formal product instruction at one of our service centres with day-to-day learning in the field. To support your success youll be equipped with a laptop phone and full toolkit.

Job Description

Office-Based in London UK

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Biomed Team Leaders and Account Manager in delivering on contract commitments and meeting KPIs

  • Take initiative and assist team members as needed in a collaborative environment

  • Demonstrate and uphold GE HealthCares leadership behaviours

  • Adhere to local and global Health & Safety regulations

  • Commit to quality standards and follow both local and global Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Biomedical Engineering Clinical Engineering Medical Technology or Electronics Engineering

  • Experience working in clinical environments

  • Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulatory bodies

  • Willingness to travel to various sites and support the wider team

  • Strong interest in technology and a desire to build a career in medical equipment service

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Well-organised with good time management
