Are you a detail-oriented college student with an interest in risk management compliance or vendor oversight Ready to gain real-world experience while making an impact in a professional setting If so Sentinel Federal Credit Union invites you to apply for our Risk and Compliance Intern position! Eligible applicants must reside in the state of South Dakota
What Youll Do
As a Risk and Compliance Intern youll support our Vendor Management Programan essential piece of our risk departmentby helping us organize update and monitor third-party vendor records. Youll gain hands-on experience in the world of compliance and financial operations while contributing directly to regulatory and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organizing and maintaining vendor contract documentation in our AuditLink system
- Assisting with due diligence reviews to identify and fill documentation gaps
- Confirming and tracking NDAs for vendors
- Updating vendor contact lists and ownership assignments
- Uploading and managing contract records in our vendor management software
- Supporting internal audit and examination readiness
- Pitching in on special projects to improve compliance and efficiency
What Were Looking For:
Required:
- Must reside in South Dakota
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of college coursework completed in Business Finance Risk Management Legal Studies or a related field (preferred)
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of vendor/contract management or compliance (coursework counts!)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
- Research and document management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive data
- Comfortable learning new tools and technologies
Remote Work Requirements:
This is a remote internship position. To be successful in this role interns must have:
- Access to a reliable personal computer with up-to-date antivirus and security software
- A stable and secure high-speed internet connection
- A quiet private workspace suitable for handling confidential information
- A working phone for scheduled check-ins or virtual meetings
- Willingness to follow SFCUs data security and confidentiality protocols while working remotely

More Details:
Pay: $18.00$20.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 1519 hours per week Flexible scheduling Remote work
Duration: 812 weeks with a flexible start date in August 2025
Location: Must reside in the state of South Dakota
