About the ALCDSB

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12000 students employs over 1400 full-time equivalent staff and covers a geographical area of more than 16000 square kilometers (Whitney in the North Picton in the South Trenton in the West and Kingston in the East).

Position Summary:

Coordinator - International Education provides a range of administrative and coordination duties for the international education program including school placements homestay arrangements communications and relationship management as well as financial tracking and data management.

What you bring to the team:

  • Completion of two-year post-secondary education in communications business administration or international studies
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in office administration and/or program coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills to enable effective communication with students families and school communities
  • Proven accounting skills
  • Demonstrated diplomacy skills and ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility and respect for privacy
  • Superior attention to detail organization time management problem solving and record keeping skills.
  • Self-motivated self-directed with strong initiative and ability to work effectively both as a member of a team and independently
  • Capacity to identify emerging problems seek consultation and make sound decisions
  • Strong technology skills with proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database programs in keeping with the latest programs supplied by the Board.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle in order to travel and provide service throughout the district
