Description

About the role

As Team Leader Priority Communities youll lead a dedicated team to deliver regional mental health reform and service commissioning for our most vulnerable and priority communities. Youll facilitate regional partnership groups and drive quality culturally responsive and outcomes-focused commissioning that meets local needs.

Youll lead commissioning from end-to-end planning procurement evaluation and continuous improvement while mentoring a high-performing team and fostering genuine inclusive partnerships with stakeholders and lived experience groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead coach and support a team delivering programs for priority populations
  • Oversee the full commissioning cycle including planning service design contracting evaluation and reporting
  • Ensure alignment with strategic and operational mental health and wellbeing reform goals
  • Develop culturally sensitive evidence-based programs across diverse communities
  • Facilitate collaboration across government service providers and community organisations
  • Embed lived experience and co-design in commissioning activities
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with funding requirements


Skills And Experiences

About you

Youre a strategic and values-led leader with deep experience in mental health or community services and a track record of commissioning and stakeholder engagement

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline
  • Leadership capability team development coaching managing through change
  • Proven experience in mental health reform program planning and commissioning
  • Strong stakeholder and partnership building skills including with priority population groups
  • Contract and project management expertise
  • High emotional intelligence and commitment to inclusive culturally sensitive practices
