Summary




King County Metro Transit Facilitieshas an exciting opportunity for a Power Distribution Technical Assistant.The Technical Assistant is responsible forproviding technical assistance for the trolley overhead and underground systems and equipment as well as the electrical and lighting systems and equipment at all transit facilities and properties.

This recruitment will immediately fill one (1) Special Duty Assignment (SDA)position and mayalso be used to create an eligibility pool for future SDA valid up to 12 months or until exhausted and at the discretion of the hiring authority. The duration of the assignment isanticipatedto end 12/31/2025 with the possibility to extend.

Interviews are anticipated to occur during the week of August 4th 2025but are subject to change.

  • Two years of electrical experience.

  • Experience in the use of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or equivalentsystems.

  • Knowledge ofMetro Transit Facilities Power Distribution operations.

  • Knowledge of project management principles and organizational skills.

Work Location and Schedule

The work location will be at Power Distribution Headquarters (2255 Fourth Ave S Seattle WA).This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and therefore is not eligible for overtime pay.
