Responsibilities:
- Build and alter costumes for a 4-show season with cast sizes ranging from 5 to 35
- Assist costume designer with sourcing and costume/ wardrobe paperwork
- Help with actor fittings by performing pinning and note taking
- Wardrobe duties as necessary including ironing steaming laundry and repairing costumes during the run of each production
- Run shows as wardrobe supervisor when necessary
- Maintain and organize the costume stock as needed
- Facilitate the renting and checking in of university costumes as needed
- Assist with dress rehearsal and show strike
- Perform wig/hair and craft duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Tool and equipment maintenance as necessary
Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team
- Knowledge of garment patterning cutting and sewing techniques Some experience with wig/hair styling fabric dying millinery and other crafting techniques
- Basic knowledge of safety equipment/tools/machines and their uses
- Physical stamina to stand extended periods push loaded clothing racks and lift up to 25 pounds
