Job Description

RN Medical Oncology (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to identify and prioritize the needs of oncology patients and their families.
  • Develop individualized care plans and update them regularly to reflect patient progress and needs.
  • Provide holistic patient-centered care in alignment with the values and preferences of the patient and family.
  • Serve as an educator and advocate for patients families colleagues and the community regarding disease process treatment options and wellness practices.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and provide follow-up to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments care plans interventions and outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Promote a safe efficient and therapeutic care environment.
  • Support peers through knowledge sharing and contribute to team development.
  • Engage in professional development and community outreach initiatives.
Key Success Factors:
  • Solid knowledge of nursing practices procedures and standards of patient care.
  • Familiarity with nursing laws regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Proficient in medical terminology disease management and medication effects.
  • Commitment to ethical practice patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Competency with basic computer systems including Microsoft Office EMR systems scheduling tools and secure communication platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
