Job Description
Job Title: UI/UX developer (Angular / React)
Location: Annapolis MD (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field (as determined by AOC).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Frontend Development: Experience with React and/or Angular.
- Messaging Technologies: Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Search Technology: Familiarity with Elastic Search is a plus.
- Architecture & Patterns: Strong understanding of design patterns and event-driven architecture.
- APIs & Services: Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Container Orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software solutions.
- Design and build scalable event-driven applications using Spring Boot and React.
- Implement microservices architecture and integrate components effectively.
- Develop message producers and consumers using RabbitMQ.
- Alternatively demonstrate experience with Kafka and understanding of its architectural differences from RabbitMQ.
- Deploy microservices to Kubernetes clusters using CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor application health and performance in production environments.
- Optimize systems for speed scalability and reliability.
- Write unit tests targeting 85% coverage.
- Participate in peer code reviews and debugging sessions.
- Support system testing and ensure code quality.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation: specifications architecture design and decisions.
- Design and maintain sequence diagrams for major use cases.
- Collaborate with product managers UX designers and other engineers to clarify requirements.
- Submit weekly activity and project status reports using JIS-prescribed formats.
- Complete weekly time reporting and any additional reports as required by the supervising manager.
