Job Description
The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
PURPOSE: This purchase request provides and supports ministry to the Veteran patients at this medical center facility.
GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENT: The services accomplished through this Statement
of Work are for the monthly fees that cover services rendered at each scheduled service
of worship each weekend as well as special scheduled and unscheduled services
such as Saturday services memorial services funeral etc. Musician will be competent
to provide the full range of music for the various denominations worshiping as part of
the Veteran population. Musician will maintain a cooperative relationship with the
medical center patients and staff population and comply with VA regulations and
policies.
STANDARDS: Work to be performed mainly on the weekends with some weekdays
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this may include some Federal Holidays.
Vendor must have a musical degree with a music major or its equivalency; ability to
read music arrange transpose and play by ear. Vendor is to provide all necessary transportation and
proof of ability to play the organ and/or piano and provide vocal support. Musician may be
requested to schedule a meeting to present a demonstration of ability to VA Contract/Chaplain Team prior to award).
LOCATION: VA Medical Center 510 Butler Avenue Martinsburg West Virginia
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: October 1 2020 through September 30 2021 (FY21
