Job Summary/Description:
WBTV is searching for a weekend reporter who embodies passion drive and a commitment to excellence at the premier legacy station in the Carolinas. Additionally this person will understand accountability storytelling breaking news and have a drive to succeed across all platforms.
The successful candidate will work three weeknights as well as the Saturday/Sunday shifts as a General Assignment reporter. This person will also be responsible for covering breaking news and pitching branded stories that fit under the On Your Side brand. Additionally the candidate will be a team player who knows how to collaborate across a multi-platform approach to storytelling.
Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the information listed above.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Three or more years of minimum experience in a broadcast newsroom or digital newsgathering environment.
- WBTV is searching for a weekend reporter who is able to work in a fast-paced news gathering environment.
