- The Manager Technology and Integration is responsible for the oversight of the medication system technologies across Halton Healthcare sites in collaboration with the Director
- The Manager is responsible for the implementation and optimization as well as maintenance of new and existing medication system technology
- The Manager is responsible for utilization of fiscal and human resources under his/her reporting structure including budget preparation and monitoring recruitment and performance development and quality and risk management.
- The Manager works with the Director to ensure the Pharmacy service is planned and administered in accordance with accepted ethical and professional practices and standards legal requirements (including those related to the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Hospital Pharmacy Accreditation) Halton Healthcare Program and Corporate directions and that it meets the needs of the patients (CSHP Standards of Practice). The Pharmacy service encompasses all aspects of drug-use control including purchasing storing distributing and ensuring the optimal patient outcomes resulting from the use of medications in the hospital (CSHP Standard).
- The Manager collaborates with Program Leaders Physician Leaders and other Managers to ensure high quality effective and efficient services and care are provided in a consistent manner across all sites.
- The Manager maintains a thorough and complete understanding of all the duties and responsibilities of the Pharmacy Staff and maintains an active pharmacist practice license in order to provide professional leadership for pharmacy staff and to assist in the department if required.
- The Manager creates an environment in the Department that promotes collaborative teamwork client and patient satisfaction innovative thinking and professional autonomy in decision-making.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Hospital Pharmacy residency preferred; Pharm D preferred.
- Licensed under Part A of the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Minimum 3 years of related management experience in a progressive health care setting and oriented to the specialized functions of hospital pharmacy.
- Experience with Computerized Prescriber Order Entry (CPOE) is an asset.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various clinical disciplines.
- Works in a self-directed manner to manage and deliver on projects.
- Ability to motivate and coach individuals.
- Strong interpersonal leadership negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal written and presentation.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record

Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $58.060 to $72.576 per hour
