Job Description

POSITION: Technical Services & Sales Manager

FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Fulltime

LOCATION: Vista CA

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (Hybrid Schedule)

PAY RANGE: 90000 to 150000 DOE

(Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A leading provider of precision measurement tools calibration services and metrology solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Leader and Service Sales Manager for the Southern California region.

This hybrid role combines strategic sales leadership with operational oversight of the regional calibration lab.

The successful candidate will drive sales growth for services and calibrations lead the regional operations and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Leadership (Service Sales Manager)

Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager and regional sales engineers to develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth for calibration services repair services and related offerings across Southern California.

Identify and cultivate new business opportunities targeting industries such as aerospace automotive manufacturing and medical.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Lead prospecting proposal development contract negotiations and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Collaborate with marketing to analyze market trends and competitors activities to develop regional campaigns promotions and trade show participation to enhance brand visibility and adjust accordingly.

Track and report sales performance metrics providing regular updates as a partner on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

Operational Oversight (Business Leader)

Oversee the daily operations of the Southern California service center offering leadership guidance.

Manage business operations and and foster a culture of excellence accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure lab and field operations scalability and sustainability to meet customer and industry standards.

Monitor and optimize lab workflows to improve efficiency turnaround times and service quality.

Manage budgets oversee resource allocation and inventory to support lab and sales objectives.

Implement and enforce safety protocols quality control measures and standard operating procedures.

Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations resolving customer and employee issues promptly and professional.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Manage business operations and and foster a culture of excellence accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure lab and field operations scalability and sustainability to meet customer and industry standards.

Monitor and optimize lab workflows to improve efficiency turnaround times and service quality.

Manage budgets oversee resource allocation and inventory to support lab and sales objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in business Sales Engineering or a related field or equivalent industry experience.

5 years of experience in sales leadership business development or account management strongly preferred in the technical laboratory or service-based industry.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

5 years of operational management experience ideally overseeing a technical lab or service-oriented team.

Strong technical knowledge of metrology principles instruments and software.

Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop diverse and growing teams.

Analytic and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.

Proficient in CRM software ERP systems NetSuite and HubSpot preferred.

Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and quality management systems.

Willingness to travel to customer sites trade shows and trainings as required.

Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Real ID or Passport is required for domestic and potential international travel.
