Job Description

Summary of Duties

The Finance department of Sunnybrook Health Science Centre is embarking on a significant system implementation project involving an upgrade from SAP ECC to SAP S4 Hana and the implementation of Ariba P2P. This project aims to transform the way end-users engage with purchasing and invoice submission/approvals necessitating changes in local business processes for finance users to align with the new SAP Rise.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead to guide and manage the change management activities associated with our SAP upgrade and Ariba P2P implementation. The OCM Lead will be responsible for developing and executing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance. The OCM Lead will coordinate training and end-user adoption efforts ensuring a smooth transition for all affected departments.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans to support the SAP S4 Hana upgrade and Ariba P2P implementation.
  • Conduct change impact analyses to understand the changes in processes systems and job roles particularly how end-user departments manage contracts and perform purchasing or payment functions.
  • Engage with stakeholders including finance users to understand their needs concerns and resistance points.
  • Design and deliver communication plans training programs and support materials to facilitate smooth transitions for approximately 150 core system users and 2000 users involved in purchasing/approval processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams including a Project Manager Finance Lead Finance Team Requisition Lead SMEs and Testers to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies making adjustments as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation encouraging feedback and suggestions from end-users.
  • Coordinate training sessions and end-user adoption efforts to ensure all users are well-prepared for the new systems.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Organizational Development or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g. Change Management Practitioner PMP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives preferably within healthcare or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S4 Hana and Ariba P2P systems with experience in similar system implementations being highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct impact analyses and develop effective change management plans.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and frameworks (e.g. Prosci ADKAR Kotters 8-Step Process).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
