We have a rich history and have been providing residential aged care for more than 40 years.
What we need
We currently have a Casual opportunityfor a highly motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our friendly team!
What will you do
Your role will be to support our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator in providing an engaging person-centred leisure and lifestyle program.
More specifically your key duties will include:
- participate and assist in the development of various activities that take into consideration the residents social needs and care plan
- encourage and motivate residents and family to participate in the activities program
- regularly evaluate activities and individual care plans in relation to the residents social needs.
What you bring to the role
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or equivalent) or the desire to complete qualification
- Residential aged care and/or experience working with clients with dementia is preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A can-do attitude with the ability to learn and grow on the job
- A friendly outgoing personality
- A desire to work in the not-for-profit sector in a rewarding environment
