Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View or Warren MI three times per week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days.
The Role:
At AV(Autonomous Vehicles) Software Organization within General Motors we are working on developingcutting-edgeADASand AVfeatures for next-generation vehicles.
As the ADAS/AVPlatform Software Verification Engineer you will play a crucial role in defining implementing andoptimizingsystemtesting to ensure the quality safety and reliability of the ADAS platform software.
What Youll Do:
Designanddevelopscalable high-coverage software testingfor theADAS/AVplatform.
Analyze diagnostics from a full-vehicle perspective to support efficient triaging and debugging related toADAS/AVPlatform Software.
Build and Maintainhardware-in-the-loop (HIL) software-in-the-loop (SIL) and vehicle-in-the-loop (VIL) testing environments.
Ensure compliance with legal standards and safety requirements including ISO 26262 SOTIF FMVSS 111 and FMVSS 127 while improving test coverage and metrics.
Collaborate with Software Infra and application teams to develop new test casesleveragingexpertisein Service-Oriented Architecture Middleware communication(Pub Sub/DDS/Subspace) diagnosticsLinuxandQNX.
Work closely with Software Development and Hardware teams to debug and root-cause issues within Linux/QNX-basedADAS/AVPlatform Software.
Create Test automation frameworks develop test scripts and execute automated tests to enhance validation efficiency.
Conduct andassistwith test result analysis including FMEA Root Cause Analysis (Ishikawa/Fishbone Analysis A-B-A Testing).
Assistin issue triaging log analysis and troubleshootingADAS/AVPlatform issues.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in electronics computer science electricalengineeringor a related technical degree
- Minimum of6years of professional technical experience
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Software Verification and Validation.
- Strong Programming skills inPythonCAPL Vehicle Spy and Robot Framework.
- Good understanding of Vehicle networks likeCAN and Ethernet.
- Knowledgeofnetwork analysis and debugging tools Ex:WiresharkCANoe/CANalyzer INCA RAD Galaxy.
- Ability to understand the requirements and transfer that into Test Scenarios Situations / Tests or testable scripts to be used in vehicle simulationenvironments.
- Flexible dependable self-initiativeand capable of learning new skills and technologies.
- Possess a valid drivers license and the ability tooperatetest vehicles
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Must havehands-on Experience with QNX or Linux based software systems and Embeddedprogramming.
- KnowledgeinROS Linux-based embedded systems and RTOS environments.
- Excellent cross-collaboration and critical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Unified Diagnostic Services (ISO 14229).
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (Ethernet DDS CAN SOME/IP)
Compensation:The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paidin accordance withapplicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positionslocatedoutside of New York Colorado California or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is $134000 to $235900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individual performance.
