    The job of Instructional Paraprofessional is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned school monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; and providing clerical support to teachers and staff.

    Essential Functions:
    • Works as part of a Student Support Team to help identify students who are struggling with attendance grades or other issues and offer support
    • Assists data collection under the direction of the assigned counselor/administrator for the purpose of monitoring student progress.
    • Runs reports weekly on Skyward
    • Meets with counselors administrators teachers and students to best support students
    • Communicates with supervising instructional staff professional support personnel for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP and/or 504 objectives.
    • Monitors students during assigned periods in a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
    • Performs a variety of clerical duties (e.g. screening phone calls distributing materials maintaining inventories processing documents etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective operations.
    • Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents fights inappropriate social behavior violations of rules safety conditions etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.

    • Must complete job specific training within the first 3 months of employment.
