Software Development Team Product Owner

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Development Team Product Owner to support our Huntsville AL location.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS (Track Identification Services) SW (Software) Development Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the TIS team. The TIS team is responsible for the identification and classification of tracks in the C2 (Command and Control) software. The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts designs and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action competing capabilities performance risks and impacts on the IFMC mission.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

• Must have the ability to provide oversight to the development team and verify the teams work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria including attending code reviews.

• Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

• Must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
• Must be a resident of the Huntsville AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville AL area.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering the sciences or mathematics

Desired Skills:

• An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS PATRIOT MEADS THAAD C2BMC or AEGIS and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more of the DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
