Role Overview:
The Business Unit Manager (BU-Manager) will lead the direction and operational excellence of the companys Data Solutions business unit focused on managing business lines. The BU-MANAGER will ensure quality deliverables cost efficiency and profitability while identifying customer needs and uncovering new business opportunities. Working with a global team (based on client need and company structure) the BU-MANAGER will drive growth by developing client relationships cross-selling and upselling services and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Reporting directly to the COO the BU-MANAGER will be responsible for delivering customer success and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for core clients building and maintaining strong trusted relationships.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Oversee and nurture relationships with client(s).
- Ensure timely high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Monitor client feedback and satisfaction to drive improvements and enhance customer loyalty.
Customer Needs and Business Opportunities:
- Proactively identify and understand client needs to deliver tailored solutions.
- Analyze client businesses to identify new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
- Collaborate with internal teams/program managers to develop innovative solutions to meet evolving client requirements.
Profitability and Cost Management:
- Optimize cost efficiency and ensure delivery aligns with BU-budgetary constraints.
- Maintain and improve profit margins across all projects within the business unit.
- Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for margin enhancement.
Capacity and Quality Management:
- Collaborate with global teams as needed and required to manage capacity effectively and ensure operational excellence.
- Implement and oversee processes that ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Proactively resolve capacity and quality issues leveraging global resources as needed.
Business Operations:
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services to strategic clients.
- Partner with the Sales team/Key Account Managers to develop and execute strategies for customer growth and satisfaction.
- Support the Sales team/Key Account Managers in crafting proposals presentations and account growth plans.
Team Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with global teams including operations sales and client support.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows and ensure alignment on client objectives.
Reporting and Strategy:
- Provide regular updates to the COO on account performance operational metrics and growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of the companys strategic goals and operational plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions project progress and financial performance.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in account management operations or business unit leadership.
- 4 years within a data solutions like Data Annotation Conversational AI Data Collection Data Categorization and Segmentation Labelling.
- Work experience: Preferably from Supplier side
- Education: Bachelors degree in Tech/STEM
- Skills:
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver customer success.
- Strong financial acumen with a focus on cost efficiency and profitability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in project management and operational tools.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a global multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Data technology data solutions or related industries.
