Job Summary
Responsible for handling a high volume of incoming calls from both physicians offices and patients. Will schedule re-schedule update and change patient appointments in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring pre-cert/authorization requirements have been met. Will have thorough knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes. Scheduler will be responsible for pre-registration. Responsible for filing and interpretation of physician orders. Scheduler is responsible for updating demographic information. Assist patients ranging in age from adult to geriatrics who may call to verify the time/date or other information about their procedures.Qualifications
