Job Description

The Business Operations Services & Solutions (BOS&S) division within GBS Enterprise Services was created to deliver services internally to Pfizer colleagues and divisions that help create room for meaningful work. By delivering our services with high performance against the Five Points of Value (i.e. optimal cost quality compliance client experience and business impact) we help colleagues spend more time focusing on their missions; all in support of breakthroughs that change patients lives. The services our team delivers include fleet operations records management privacy operations data analytics translations services contingent labor et. al. We have a variety of vendors who provide these services; however we have an opportunity for more formal aligned disciplined and governed management of their performance.

The Manager Business Operations Management is a pivotal role within the BOS&S Business Operations Management team. The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of financial operational contractual continuous improvement innovation and cultural processes and needs across the BOS&S organization to deliver strong impact on our teams performance against the Five Points of Value.

What You Will Achieve

  • Financials: Support Budget and financial management for Global Fleet BPS and ePRIM optimizing and streamlining the process with the support of BEST (BOSS Enterprise Support Team) including budget vs forecast and actuals tracking and tracking BOSS ROCs.
  • Op Plan: Support the Op Plan process across BOSS specifically as it relates to Global Fleet and BPS including annual Working Capital submissions and budget transfers.
  • POs: Assist in raising and managing the BOSS POs in a planned coordinated and optimized way against the Five Points of Value. This includes but is not limited to tracking PO amounts/approvers setting watchers and ensuring appropriate context is provided to senior leaders.
  • SOWs: Support the Senior Managers in SOW administration including tracking and change orders with coordination with S2P
  • Invoices: Optimize process for invoice vetting along with improving the Global Fleet invoice issues resolution process.
  • Operations: Support the Business Ops Director of meeting preparation including but not limited to GBS ES and BOSS Town Halls Extended Leadership and Leadership meetings throughout the year
  • Coding: Lead cost center management and optimization across BOSS ensure all HC reporting/access is up to date and ensure BOSS hierarchy is kept updated
  • Operations: Support in managing the general operations of the division. This includes but is not limited to implementing strategies to increase corporate engagement scores (Pfizer Pulse) fostering a culture that respects diversity and supporting a joyful and healthy working environment.

In addition to the above the Manager GBS ES BOS&S Business Operations Management will have the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated business acumen project management skills the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously can respond to tight timelines and the capability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
  • Strategic and analytical thinking

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):

  • Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a masters degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience; OR as associates degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of global experience working with different markets that span various cultures languages and time zones
  • Demonstrated experience with financial budget and accounting management as well as their associated systems (Mosaic SAP etc)
  • Experience with defining processes or process redesign as well as data standards
  • Demonstrated experience managing business operations with a continuous improvement mindset

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience influencing implementing and managing change
  • Ability to oversee multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously

Other Job Details:

  • Work location assignment: Hybrid - onsite an average of 2.5 days per week or as the business requires. Flexible work schedule spanning across multiple geographies/time-zones (Americas Europe and Asia).
  • Travel for meetings/conferences up to 1-2 times per year

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $102900.00 to $171500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
