Marblehead High School - Vocal Music TeacherSchool Year 2025-26Position Summary:Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a talented and dedicated Vocal Music Teacher to lead choral and theater programs at Marblehead High School and a section of choir at Marblehead Veterans Middle School. This position includes instruction in A Cappella Choir Treble Choir Mixed Choir and Theater Arts at the high school level along with developing vocal skills and musical foundations in younger students through a middle school choral section. The ideal candidate has a passion for engaging students in the arts and building community through choral ensembles and prepare students for performances concerts and school/community eventsProvide instruction in vocal technique music literacy ensemble skills and performance etiquetteEncourage student participation in district regional and state festivals and competitionsCreate a welcoming inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and fosters artistic expressionCommunicate regularly with students families and staff about student progress and program activitiesDesign and implement a wide variety of appropriate instructional activities for students of varying abilities and collaboratively with music colleagues to develop and implement lesson plans. Evaluate student achievement and adjust instruction a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroomdevelops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just weekly PLC faculty department and other contractual meetings as pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working other duties as assigned.
