The Health Unit Assistant has the primary focus of ensuring clinical staff support and general unit needs are being met as directed by the Director of Nursing. This position interacts with various interdisciplinary teams within the organization and may lend support where needed.
Qualifications

Education:
High School graduate or GED with specialized training. Ability to speak understands read and write English required.
Experience:
Nursing/Nursing aide experience preferred.
License/Certification/Credential:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide the core duties required to perform the job daily and the percent of time spent performing the duty.

Assists the Nursing department by completing unit-based task lists as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Supports interdisciplinary departments as needed and approved by Director of Nursing

Supports the Health Unit Clerks in their functions.

General unit tasks to include but not limited to oxygen tank refilling organization of unit restocking cleanliness of unit supervised patient companion

The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for children (ages 0-21) and is the only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma.
