We have an immediate need for a full-time exempt Annual Giving Manager. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for creating and implementing annual giving campaigns that advance a strategic prospect development process and expand GIBLs base of individual giving support. By developing and executing successful fundraising plans this role cultivates long-term relationships and activates a meaningful stewardship program with annual donors to support revenue generation and portfolio growth. This role requires a strong capacity for compelling storytelling to inspire donor engagement and communicate the organizations impact. The salary range for this on-site position is $70000 - $80000 commensurate with experience. As a full-time role the Annual Giving Manageris eligible to participate in the organizations benefits program.
POSITION OVERVIEW (What were looking for)
As an astute strategist and thought partner with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) the Annual Giving Manager achieves an annual revenue target of $400k for the annual fund. This role also identifies and leverages impactful opportunities to deepen donor connections and strengthen long-term support. As an integral member of the Development team the Annual Giving Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the organizations values growth and sustainability. The Annual Giving Manager role is a hybrid position in which the incumbent will be expected to work in-office at least three days per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES (What youll be achieving)
At a minimum the Annual Giving Managerwill be responsible for successfully carrying out the following essential functions and duties:
Manage Annual Fund Strategy for Boston Market
Work with the CEO and CDO to develop and manage an integrated multi-channel annual giving calendar that is aligned with organizational priorities and fundraising goals. The goal for FY26 is $400k.
Set and monitor short and long-term revenue benchmarks for donor acquisition retention and upgrades of Boston donors.
Analyze past performance data and fundraising trends to inform campaign design and timing. Follow Girls Inc. Headquarters branding and messaging standards.
Create and test segmented solicitation strategies for LYBUNTs SYBUNTs recurring donors first-time donors and work with the CEO and CDO on major gift prospects for Boston market.
Digital Fundraising & Online Campaigns
Work with Marketing Communications Manager to plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns including Giving Tuesday Year-End Appeal and Spring Appeal incorporating email social media and paid digital ads.
Develop and manage peer-to-peer fundraising efforts by recruiting training and stewarding ambassadors and supporters.
Work with a grant writer to identify potential runs for fundraising numbers i.e. Boston Marathon Roadraces etc.
Optimize online giving through the Bloomerang platform for donor experience mobile responsiveness and conversion rates.
Leverage email marketing software () to send segmented personalized appeals and stewardship messages.
Regularly A/B test subject lines messages and calls-to-action to improve performance.
Meet or exceed digital campaign fundraising goals.
Data-Driven Fundraising and Management
Manage donor data and reporting within Bloomerang ensuring data integrity and accuracy above 98%.
Work with CDO on reporting campaign successes. Implement donor segmentation and analytics to tailor outreach and increase return on interest (ROI).
Work with the Development Assistant to maintain accurate and timely gift entry acknowledgement processes and donor records.
Boston Market Expansion & Donor Pipeline Growth
Identify and support the cultivation of prospective individual donors in Boston.
Collaborate with the development and program team to identify mission moments and stories that resonate with Boston-based audiences.
Adapt fundraising language messaging and events to reflect Boston-specific community context and donor motivations.
Build relationships with Boston-based stakeholders to support event participation campaign sharing and fundraising support.
Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager to create compelling brand-aligned content for fundraising emails social media posts donor spotlights and newsletters.
Draft and edit donor appeals ensuring tone voice and message consistency.
Coordinate with Program staff to gather success stories data and photos to support compelling storytelling in fundraising efforts.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
Develop and implement a stewardship plan for annual donors including timely thank-you notes updates recognition in publications and small touches (birthday cards mission moments).
Ensure 100% of all gifts are acknowledged within 48 hours via email or phone call.
Create customized stewardship tracks for recurring donors and mid-level donors with growth potential.
Partner with the Development team to identify opportunities to transition annual donors into monthly givers or major gift prospects.
Event Support & Fundraising Integration
Support logistics promotion and donor engagement strategies for fundraising and cultivation events including the annual Celebration and Boston-based donor events.
Develop pre- and post-event communications to drive giving and long-term engagement.
Leverage events to grow the donor pipeline and identify new prospects.
Administrative and Team Support
Contribute to annual Development Plan and participate in departmental strategy meetings.
Create and manage annual fund dashboards in Bloomerang.
With CDO track develop and manage weekly monthly annual metrics reporting of annual fund with Bloomerang.
Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and donor briefings.
Provide training or tools to staff and volunteers to support their peer fundraising efforts.
Stay up to date on fundraising best practices technologies and trends through professional development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (What youll bring along)
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in communications marketing liberal arts or a related field. Equivalent years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: Minimum of three years of proven experience in fundraising donor relations and event planning in the nonprofit space.
Qualifications: To be optimally successful in this role the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience leading teams.
Strong attention to detail in event planning online content and relationship building.
Solid organizational skills especially related to developing and maintaining metrics.

Hands-on experience or familiarity with Bloomerang software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applications to conduct day-to-day administrative tasks efficiently.
Prior experience in nonprofit management or other relevant nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
The position may require prolonged periods of sitting; prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen; repetitive motions with wrists hands and fingers due to typing; and lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds on occasion.
