Job Description
Required Tasks
- Keep stock in order and clean storerooms.
- Review stock items as candidates for obsolescence and deletion from inventory with Storekeepers and customer agencies.
- Check supplies received against invoices.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms warehouses or storage yards.
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using computer.
- Mark stock items using identification tags stamps electric marking tools or other labeling equipment.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Issue or distribute materials products parts and supplies to customers or coworkers based on information from incoming requisitions.
- Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom warehouse or storage yard workers.
- Keep records on the use of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Keep records of damaged stock or stock handling equipment.
- Operate machinery hand tools telephone desktop computer electronic devices and printer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid MI Drivers License
