Position: Instructional Support Specialist

Qualifications:
- B.A/B.S. Degree in Education
- Appropriate State of Pennsylvania Department of Education Teaching Certificate in the appropriate content area.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the measurement of instructional effects.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Common Core and Pennsylvania Standards learning styles curricula and data analysis across K-12.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to facilitate communication among coworkers students and parents.
- Knowledge of GSuite Applications: Drive Docs Sheets Slides Forms etc.
- Must be able to evaluate problems prioritize work and determine solutions.
- Must possess and maintain valid Pennsylvania school clearances.

Job Overview: The Instructional Support Specialist will support the development of instructional practices across grade levels and content areas. This role is designed to enhance teacher effectiveness increase student achievement and build a culture of continuous professional growth. The coach will work collaboratively with teachers administrators and support staff to implement high-quality instruction aligned with state standards and the schools mission.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers through modeling co-teaching and lesson planning aligned to PA Core Standards
- Collaborate with teachers to analyze student data and develop targeted interventions
- Develop and deliver professional development sessions based on identified instructional needs
- Provide ongoing non-evaluative feedback to teachers to support growth and improvement
- Promote the integration of technology and STREAM concepts into daily instruction
- Assist with curriculum design mapping and resource alignment across grade levels
- Observe classroom instruction and support reflective practices with teaching staff
- Facilitate instructional rounds learning walks and peer collaboration opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of current educational research and best practices
- Serve as a liaison between instructional staff and administration on matters of curriculum and instruction
- Monitor implementation of school-wide initiatives related to instruction and provide coaching support
- Participate in the planning and implementation of professional learning communities (PLCs)
- Provide differentiated support for new teachers and those requiring targeted coaching
- Help ensure fidelity of academic programming and instructional compliance (e.g. IEPs accommodations)
- Assist in school data collection efforts and assessment administration as needed
Professional Obligations:
- Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in developing evaluating and revising school programs.
- Prepare reports on students and activities as required by the administration.
- Attend professional meetings educational conferences and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attend staff meetings and have the opportunity to serve on committees.
- Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs student organizations and academic contests.
- Adhere to Professional Standard of Conduct including confidentiality code of ethics and appropriate internet use as outlined in the Policy and Procedures manual and Staff Handbook.
- Follow all approved board of trustee policies including Financial and Purchasing Attendance RtII and Curriculum Implementation.
- Perform administrative duties such as assisting the school media center hall cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading.
- Complete school-mandated technology PD hours.
- Perform all additional related duties and responsibilities as designated by the Local Administration CEO or Network Team.
Terms of Employment: Ten (10) months. Contract terms and salary to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of state law administrative code and the Boards policy on the evaluation for this position.
