Job Description

Join a five-time Law360 Insurance Practice Group of the Year and one of the countrys largest most diverse policyholder-side insurance recovery teams in the country with over 70 dedicated attorneys across the United States.

This is a unique opportunity to work as a plaintiff-side lawyer in a Big Law firm on high-profile complex insurance coverage disputes across a wide range of industries and risk areas including long-tail liability claims financial lines claims property claims and cyber claims among others.

ISO a junior to mid-level associate with 2-3 years of experience ideally representing policyholders in insurance disputes. However litigation focus will suffice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and represent policyholders in complex insurance matters including risk management and disputes including mediation arbitration and litigation.

  • Work on insurance issues across property casualty and specialized coverages.

  • Collaborate with attorneys in offices across the country involving nationwide claims.

  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility to become an expert in this area of law.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing on sophisticated matters involving large claims and multiple adverse parties.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

  • 2-3 years of experience in litigation or ideally policyholder-side insurance recovery.

  • Exceptional legal research writing and analytical skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Demonstrated initiative leadership and a commitment to internal organization client service and professional growth.

  • Admission to and good standing with the bar in the jurisdiction where you will practice.

Washington DC pay range for this role with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience is $235k - $260k.
