Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation including case management from intake through trial or settlement.
- Draft and prepare legal documents including complaints discovery requests and responses subpoenas notices and motions.
- Coordinate depositions mediation scheduling hearings in state and federal courts and trials including calendaring deadlines and court appearances.
- Organize review and summarize medical records bills and other evidence.
- Maintain case files and update case management software.
- Assist in trial preparation and the assembly of trial binders and exhibits.
- Communicate with clients medical providers and expert witnesses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of litigation experience in a Plaintiffs personal injury setting.
- Maritime experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Proficiency with legal case management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
