Job Posting Primary Teacher (Grade 1-3)
The Coldwater School is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Primary Teacher (Gr. 1-3). Qualifications
- Demonstrate successful primary-level teaching experience.
- Possess strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills.
- Have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with staff in a team setting.
- Have the proven ability to meet the needs of diverse learners through the application of differentiated instruction.
- Have an understanding of Aboriginal culture and be willing to learn and integrate Indigenous teachings into the curriculum.
- Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate and familiarity with B.C. curriculum.
- Working with First Nations schools is an asset.
- This position is open to all applicants; Coldwater Indian Band members may receive priority
- Knowledge of Nlekepmx language and the Coldwater Community
- Teaching experience at the Primary level
- Experience with formative assessment practices is an asset
- have Aboriginal ancestry (as per Special Program with the BC Human Rights Tribunal)
Wage scale comparable to area school starting at $60000.00 Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
