Job Description
Process Technician - JPC46
Compensation: $22 - $55/hour benefits
Industry: Plastic Injection Molding
Location: California
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager
Schedule: Full-Time 1st & 2nd shift available
Responsibilities:
- Optimize injection molding for enhanced product quality and faster cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold setting machinery and injection molding operations.
- Conduct investigations into defects and implement corrective measures.
- Mentor and train production staff (process technicians mold setters material handlers) for improved performance.
- Partner with engineering and production to drive continuous process and system improvements.
- Maintain precise documentation of all molding processes and modifications.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 5 years of hands on processing experience and at least 3 years of maintenance experience
- Ability to conduct defect investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in developing process parameters for new molds and ensuring production consistency.
- Experience in documenting processes and maintaining detailed records.
- RJG Master Molder I certification or equivalent scientific molding expertise
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to improve processes and systems.
