Job Description
Position: Radiation Therapist - Oncology
Start Date: 8/18/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Lebanon NH 03766
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 10
Shift Notes: 10hr days Monday-Friday 6a-4:30p or 7a-5.30p or 7.30a-6p. Must be available for either shift as needed
Weekend Requirements: TBD/Holidays required if needed
On-Call Requirements: TBD

Traveler Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)
** TRAVELER MUST BE PRE-CLOSED TO THIS SPECIFIC NEED BEFORE UPLOAD!
** TRAVELER MUST HAVE NH MIRT IN-HAND OR IF USING AN EQUIVALENT LICENSE MUST BE WILLING TO FOLLOW PROCESS FOR TEMP LICENSE (Fingerprinting etc).
** LITTLE OR NO RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR THIS NEED. PERM STAFF HAVE PRIORITIZED RTO AND THERE ARE FEW IF ANY SUMMER DAYS AVAILABLE FOR TRAVELERS.
** ALL medical/occ health compliance items MUST be ordered/collected/reported within 5 days of offer acceptance for this client.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY!
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Administers prescribed radiation treatment setting the necessary factors and monitors both patient and control panel during the treatment. Prepares patients in exam rooms and assists the Radiation Oncologist with medical examinations.
- Prepares patients rooms and equipment for treatment and simulations and assists the Radiation Oncologist with simulations.
- May inject dye into skin of patient as a marker providing there has been demonstration of appropriate training and skills to the satisfaction of the Oncologist.
- May administer contrast media retrograde into the urinary bladder in patient during simulation.
- Performs all necessary calibration on equipment as prescribed by the Radiation Safety Officer in accordance with the conditions of therapy license or any other regulatory body.
- Observes radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
- Records all patient doses and gathers all confidential history on patients documents all reactions that the patient may have and reports these findings to the radiologist.
- Updates patient examination history file records unusual conditions/limitations accurately documents appropriate information in daily log book completes procedure performs scheduling consultation and billing procedures as required performs other paperwork as applicable.

- 2 years current Radiation Therapy experience - Required
- Oncology experience - Required
- VARIAN TRUEBEAM experience - REQUIRED
- ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
- Previous travel experience - Highly Preferred
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
