Job Description
Work Location: Plattsburgh NY (100% onsite)
Position Type: Long term Contract
Must have background in Rail/Aero/heavy Industrial
We are seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers to support manufacturing operations at a leading rail vehicle production facility. Assemblers will be responsible for wire harness and component installations on train cars ensuring high quality and adherence to safety and productivity standards.
Install wire harnesses and mechanical components on rail vehicles.
Follow standard operating procedures and method times for assigned tasks.
Ensure work meets all EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) and QA (Quality Assurance) requirements.
Maintain a Defects Per Unit (DPU) rate of less than 25 per car.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain quality and output targets.
2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly (rail aerospace automotive preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Skilled in the use of hand tools crimpers and torque tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Willingness to work various shifts including weekends.
