Position: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Richmond VA (23219)
Client: State of Virginia
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to assist with an in-house software development project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering functional requirements for a new work management system that will enhance the user experience. This position requires on-site work Tuesday through Thursday each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit functional and technical requirements through meetings and interviews with business users.
- Translate business needs into application requirements and user stories.
- Document and maintain acceptance standards to guide testing and ensure quality deliverables.
- Create low and high-fidelity wireframes to illustrate user flows and functionalities.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive project success.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5 years of experience in eliciting functional and technical requirements.
- Proven ability to document application requirements and user stories.
- Strong skills in creating wireframes and visual representations of user flows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Visio SharePoint and Office applications.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) for agile software development (desired).
